Steve Birger, President
Steve is a 1973 graduate of The University of Tennessee, in Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the School of Business.
He began his construction business in 1973, renovating buildings in Knoxville and converting them to restaurants. Among these were: "The Orangery" for Kristopher Kendrick, "Hanna's" for Jack Hanna, and "The Union Cafe" for Frank Gardner. Steve then had the opportunity to work with Builder/Developer, Dave Burleson, President of The Tennessee Home Builders Association. Dave mentored Steve in new home and commercial construction. With Dave's direction, Steve built a number of new houses and commercial office buildings in West Knoxville.
Steve's interest in classic architecture was realized by renovating fine older homes in The Sequoyah Hills Subdivision along the beautiful Tennessee River in Knoxville.
During the early 80's Steve became Knoxville's premiere Historic Renovation Contractor and was selected to complete a number of renovation projects at the 1982 World's Fair Site. For his work and collaboration with local Architect, Eugene Burr, Steve earned the cover of "Professional Builder" magazine in May of 1982.
In 1984 Steve established operations in the Central West End of St. Louis, Missouri. Among other projects, his company restored a turn of the century French Provincial 5 story, 50,000 square foot building and converted it to Medical and Educational Offices for St. Louis University.

"Working with historic structures has enhanced my understanding of architectural detail and proportion. Restoring older buildings requires acute attention to detail. A careful study of these classical designs is essential so that the reconstruction of damaged or demolished sections can be performed in a manner which is architecturally consistent with the entire structure." Steve Birger
This knowledge base has made Steve one of the area's most precise and authentic "New Construction" builders as well.
"Working with Homeowners and Architects on Custom Homes is one of my greatest joys. Realizing dreams of passionate homeowners with lumber, concrete, and steel can be an incredibly rewarding experience." Steve Birger
